Total residential sales in November included 324 detached (down 3.9% from November 2020). 106 condominium units sold last month (up 27.7%). Sales also included 30 semi-detached homes (down 25%) and 136 townhouses (up 21.4%). In November, the average sale price for all residential properties in the Kitchener Waterloo area was $821,969. This is a 28.9% increase over November 2020 The average price of a detached home was $990,447. This is a 31% increase from November 2020.

The average list price for homes listed in Rural Waterloo Region is currently $1,205,500. The Median list price for homes currently listed for sale in rural Waterloo Region is $949,900. There were 64 homes sold last month in the rural towns and townships through the Kitchener-Waterloo Real Estate Board. The average list price for homes sold in Rural Waterloo Region last month was $861,029. The average sold price for homes sold in Rural Waterloo Region last month was $986,140 (18% over list price.) The average days on market for these sales was 11.

New construction home prices in Kitchener-Waterloo up by nearly 4% in October.

The price for new homes has increased by almost as much as resale homes.
