Lincoln Heights

Lincoln Heights: A charming close knit community

Nicely bounded by major roads, the neighbourhood of Lincoln Heights is a peaceful neighbourhood built in the 50s and 60s on the rolling hills of this northern corner of Waterloo’s North Ward. I’ve always liked this neighbourhood because of the core neighbourhood location and because of the traditional houses on large lots. Lincoln Heights if a very friendly and quiet neighbourhood made up with retired couples and young families. There once were many university student houses and townhouses in the neighbourhood but over the past decade those homes have been reverting back to young families.

One of the central features of the neighbourhood is the Moses Springer Community Centre with a public swimming pool and indoor skating. Summertime swimming lessons are offered.

I really like the location of Lincoln Heights. The neighbourhood has easy access to the Conestoga Parkway, University Avenue, Erb Street and Weber Street. It is an easy walk or bike ride into Uptown Waterloo and there is lots of shopping at two corners of the neighbourhood.
