The president of the Kitchener Waterloo Real Estate Board (KWREB) predicts that home sales during the first three months of 2011 will be relatively flat. In March, the real estate market will quickly shift into high gear and continue into an extremely active April and May.
After that, it may depend on the overall economy. Interest rates are expected to go up.
Last year marked the second highest total annual sales in the Kitchener Waterloo Real Estate Board’s history. There were 6388 homes sold in Kitchener Waterloo in 2010 by Realtors through MLS and KWREB. Sales of condominiums and homes in the highest price range saw the largest increases.
