Back in 1916 when we were still Berlin and anti-German sentiment was running wild, one of the proposed names for our city was Corona. Another was Adanac – Canada spelled backwards. Just a few votes made the difference to be called Kitchener.
I love living here. I love our colorful and unusual history.
Many people don’t know that there is a museum just outside the food court at Conestoga Mall. Those who do know that it’s there, probably don’t know it’s free. Currently, there is a history of brewing and distilling showing. Go on it and find out why we’ve always been such a good and interesting place to live.
