Kitchener, Guelph, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary were named Canada’s top five cities by the Institute of Marriage and Family Canada (IMFC), a government think tank. 33 of Canada’s largest cities were judged according to the following criteria:
Community feel
Education choice
Economic strength

Family independence
Kitchener and Guelph ranked high due to our strong economies and growing communities. Other cities didn’t do so well. At the bottom of the list were; Saguenay, Trois-Rivieres, Saint John, St. John’s, and Thunder Bay.
